Cpl recruitment are partnering with a dynamic organization to hire a skilled DevOps Engineer to transform business requirements into efficient, documented solutions, perform systems administration, troubleshoot issues, and enhance existing systems.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Convert business requirements into documented solutions.
2. Perform systems administration tasks: monitoring, configuration, backups, authentication, tuning.
3. Identify and resolve issues with tools and processes.
4. Communicate effectively with stakeholders.
5. Enhance and troubleshoot existing systems and tools.
6. Apply technical expertise during incident management.
Specific Duties:
7. Develop and enhance automation for smooth deployments and rollbacks.
8. Maintain development tools and assist with enterprise-wide migration.
9. Coordinate changes across environments.
10. Manage hardware, storage, and networks.
11. Improve processes and tools for rapid development and deployment.
Qualifications:
12. Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science or related field.
13. ~5 years in a DevOps/SRE role.
14. Strong understanding of DevOps/SRE practices and CI/CD tools.
15. Experience with cloud platforms like GCP, Azure, AWS.
Technical Skills:
16. Proficient with source control (Git, Bitbucket, GitHub) and version control.
17. Experience with CI tools (TeamCity, Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
18. Familiar with dependency management (Nexus, Maven, Gradle, PyPI).
19. Skilled in building automated CI/CD pipelines.
20. Understanding of containerization and orchestration.
21. Proficient in Linux OS and shell scripting.
22. Experience with Python dependency and build management.
23. Familiar with Agile processes.
Desirable Skills:
24. Knowledge of automation tools (Ansible, SaltStack, Puppet, Chef).
25. Experience with Atlassian suite (Confluence, JIRA).
26. Familiarity with software change controls in the financial industry.
27. Experience with trading systems and middleware.
28. Exposure to managed Kubernetes solutions (GKE/Anthos, OpenShift).
29. ION platform experience.
