About You
You’re looking for an environment, team, and role where you’ll thrive and do the best work of your career. That’s why, as a Senior Product Designer I at HubSpot:
You’ll have a “seat at the table” from Day 1. Your partners and peers know what you do, greatly value it, and expect you to have strong opinions.
You’ll co-own a significant part of the product with your partners and you’ll all have the autonomy you need to drive its strategy and vision.
You’ll never have to guess about how to get promoted. We support you with clear expectations and career paths.
You’ll be able to work where and how you work best: at home, the office, or any mix of both
About Your Team
The Growth Freemium Core Team focuses on designing and refining the entire signup flow, including the invited teammates experience. We also build routing systems that define when to guide users to a free evaluation vs a free trial. Through experimentation, we find the best ways to meet customer needs and work closely with the Freemium Onboarding team to create a seamless end-to-end experience.
By running experiments and analyzing the results, we continually improve key user metrics and make sure our solutions truly help our customers.
About your opportunity
HubSpot’s mission is to help millions of organizations worldwide grow better. The Growth Product Line drives acquisition, activation, retention, and monetization across our platform. As a Designer on the Growth Freemium Core team, you will create intuitive and effective signup experiences that guide new users to the right plan—whether that’s a free version, a Starter purchase, or a professional trial.
In this role, you will:
Explore User Needs: Use research and quick experiments to design experiences that meet real user needs.
Craft First Impressions: Build clear and delightful interactions that make users feel welcome from their very first encounter..
Drive Business Impact: Work closely with product managers, engineers, analysts, and other stakeholders to balance customer needs with our business goals.
Your mission is to shape HubSpot’s core product-led signup experience so that users quickly discover our platform’s value. This work is key for scaling our success across both small businesses and upmarket segments.
Here’s what success in your role looks like
Proven ability to deliver high-quality visual assets; such as polished wireframes, prototypes, clear and consistent design documentation, and UI components—while ensuring brand consistency and contributing to design systems.
Heavy focus on interaction design, creating intuitive interactions that guide users effectively toward their goals.
Ability to create prototypes for rapid testing and iteration
Experience with methods like user journey mapping and jobs-to-be-done as an input to design decisions.
Expertise in planning, conducting, interpreting, and synthesizing user research to identify key pain points and opportunities in the acquisition funnel.
Experience driving usability research and customer interviews, conducting competitor and industry analysis, and guiding discovery and ideation—designing concepts, and setting the design direction for your product space.

One more thing you should know…
There’s a lot of research showing how marginalized groups of people may not apply for jobs unless they meet 100% (or more!) of the qualifications. We also know that many UX folks come from backgrounds with different experiences that might not seem “standard”—and that’s okay! We really value people who bring unique perspectives and add new knowledge to our team.
But you might not feel like you “check all the boxes” as you read this job post. We get it. And we feel these things ourselves, too. But we hope you’ll apply anyway because we’ll take great care in working with you.
