DescriptionReporting to the Capital Development Manager (CDM), the Capital Development Project Manager (CDPM) plays a crucial role in realising the future of Dublin Airport. This role is responsible for ensuring the Capital Programme delivers the projects contained within the capital programme and airport business requirements in a timely manner.
The CDPM will work with the Capital Development Manager (CDM), Project manager, design, and delivery teams to ensure the outputs of their specific work stream, meet the functional requirements of the brief as well as the aspiration of the airport.
This role will be crucial in supporting the wider Dublin Airport team to successfully meet these challenges and ensure the airport is more effective and focused to meet the demands for higher standards from regulators, customers, and passengers, identifying a long-term path to growth and delivering the infrastructure to facilitate it.ResponsibilitiesWork with multiple business units and stakeholders and represent the business in ensuring the airport requirements are realised through the delivery of the project.Develop and manage the stakeholder management plan.Manage and coordinate the completion of the project benefits and realisation plan as defined in the governance process.Confirm that delivery plans are supported by the wider Airport functions, and do not introduce unacceptable risk or disruption to the Airport operations.Monitor and report on active projects and programmes (from promotion through to project completion), and relay information to senior management to facilitate strategic decisions.Attend design reviews to ensure business requirements are met, in line with time, cost, safety, business need and quality criteria.Ensure that project co-ordination occurs, including carrying out cross-functional reviews.Co-ordinate development and ongoing management of Change Risk Assessment to ensure that safety and security risks are adequately identified and addressed.Ensure projects are reviewed and where necessary escalated through Safety Committee structures in line with elevating safety action.Ensure the development of Safety and/or Security case documentation, to support the project, as required.Identify constraints and review phasing plans to ensure continuity of business in a busy live operational environment.Present proposed projects in tandem with the concerned stakeholders at relevant stages of the Dublin Airport Governance procedurePost project handover, ensure that the new infrastructure is operating effectively and before the end of the defect’s liability period; Capture a ‘Lessons Learned’ document to be utilised on future projects.Work with Infrastructure PMs and end-users to ensure that all aspects of construction leading up to project acceptance are completed prior to handover: O&M manuals; snag lists; relevant documentation etc.QualificationsA minimum of five years post graduate experience in a relevant field;Architecture, Engineering, Surveying or Commercial PropertyExperience of coordinating projects within a live operational environment with the ability to manage client expectations and deliver within agreed parameters.Experience within a multi tenanted environment.Experience in client-side project management / representation.Strong organisational, interpersonal and people management skills.Ability and confidence to communicate with to executive level team members at Dublin AirportExcellent influencing, relationship building and communication skills.Excellent safety and quality assurance skills, drive, and enthusiasm to deliver.Ability to work in a challenging environment both on own initiative and as part of a team.Third level qualification in a technical discipline, e.g., Architecture, Engineering, Construction Project Management,Committed to daa values.daa is an equal opportunities employer committed to celebrating diversity & inclusion and recognising the value that difference can bring, both for our business and for our people.
