Senior Engineer Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to join our team for a major marine construction project.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and oversee all civil engineering activities related to the marine project, ensuring alignment with project goals, timelines, and budgets.
* Manage subcontractors and suppliers to ensure compliance with technical specifications and safety standards.
* Collaborate with design teams, consultants, and clients to ensure designs align with project specifications.
* Monitor on-site construction activities, ensuring all works are delivered to the highest quality standards and adherence to design specifications.
* Lead site inspections and audits to ensure safety, quality, and environmental standards are upheld.
* Identify and mitigate risks related to marine works, including environmental and operational challenges.
* Maintain strong communication channels with clients, consultants, and regulatory bodies.
* Monitor budgets, prepare cost estimates, and ensure financial objectives are met.
Key Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent; professional accreditation (e.g., Chartered Engineer) is highly desirable.
* 6+ years of experience preferably within Irish industry.
* Proficiency in marine engineering methodologies, dredging, piling, or coastal protection techniques is desired.
* Strong understanding of environmental and regulatory requirements for marine projects.
* Proven ability to lead teams and manage multiple stakeholders effectively.
* Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
* Familiarity with design software & project management tools such as AutoCAD and MS Project.
