TwentyAI are supporting a leading Financial Services Business with a Head of Credit and Collections hire to support their team locally in Dublin, managing a team of 3. They offer a flexible working environment with a few offices across Ireland. Candidates must have worked and transformed collections on a global scale and developed teams across countries around the world.As the Head of Collections, you will lead and optimise global collections operations, ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency of cash collection processes. You will play a pivotal role in safeguarding cash flow and financial health, while also contributing to the client experience through transparent and effective financial processes. This is a finance leadership role, requiring a strategic mindset, operational expertise, and a commitment to continuous improvement.Key Responsibilities:Leadership and Strategy:Develop and execute a global strategy for collections, aligned with overall financial and commercial objectives.Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing collections team across multiple jurisdictions.Collaborate with the Head of Commercial Finance to identify and implement strategic initiatives to improve financial performance and operational efficiency.Operational Excellence:Manage the collections process, by leading a small collection team, driving timely recovery of outstanding balances while maintaining strong client relationships.Establish and monitor KPIs to track and improve the performance of collections activities.Collaborate with the Group Finance team by contributing to Group Policy & Procedure, Finance Transformation initiatives and participate in business wide projects as a Finance delegate as required.Develop clear aged receivables reports broken down by country, aging and customers on a weekly and monthly basis.Engage with the Relationship managers in agreeing the collections strategies and clients’ touchpoints.Minimise the bad debt provisions that need to be written off by improving the collected accounts receivables.Client Engagement:Work closely with the Relationship Management and Client Servicing teams to foster trust and transparency in all collections interactions.Systems and Processes:Evaluate, enhance, and implement systems and tools to improve the accuracy, efficiency, and scalability of collections processes.Ensure compliance with all relevant legal, tax, and regulatory requirements across jurisdictions.Reporting and Analysis:Provide regular reporting on collections performance to senior management.Analyse trends and identify opportunities for process optimisation and risk mitigation.Key Requirements:Proven experience in a senior Business to Business collections/credit control leadership role, preferably within the financial or professional services sector, in a global setting.Strong understanding of financial operations, and accounting principles across multiple jurisdictions.Excellent leadership and team-management skills, with a track record of building and motivating high-performing teams.Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Proficiency in financial systems and tools, with the ability to drive systems enhancements.Client-focused mindset, with the ability to balance commercial goals and client satisfaction.Please reach out and apply if this is of interest.
