Postdoctoral Researcher – Development of Electrochemical Sensors for Animal Health and Welfare
Tyndall National Institute, a world leader in sensor development and systems for life sciences applications, is focused on advancing the integration of Information and Communications Technologies (ICT) for Health. As part of our 'ICT for Health' strategy, we aim to develop the next generation of innovative sensors and systems, particularly for agritech applications. We are currently expanding research on animal health and welfare, with a strong emphasis on improving welfare standards in European aquaculture while minimizing the use of veterinary drugs.
The institute offers a collaborative, dynamic environment where cutting-edge research is translated into real-world applications.
Position Overview
Tyndall invites applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher to contribute to the development of electrochemical sensors for monitoring biochemical markers related to animal health and welfare. This research will focus on the creation of sensor technologies for use in agritech, specifically targeting disease prevention and monitoring within aquaculture. This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of electrochemical sensor development, animal welfare, and agritech innovation.
