Job Description
To ensure the efficient operation of the hotel and all departments on a day-to-day basis, and to deliver exceptional customer service.
Main Responsibilities:
* Arrive at work on time, wearing the correct uniform and adhering to company grooming standards.
* Liaise with the previous shift manager upon arrival and conduct a handover to the following manager upon completion of your shift.
* Communicate with the General Manager regarding the day-to-day management of the hotel.
* Offer support and supervision to each department, including F&B, reception, and accommodation, using a proactive approach.
* Provide guests with information about hotel services, such as opening hours for the bar and restaurant, internet access, and luggage assistance, during check-in and throughout their stay.
* Assume responsibility for assigned duties in conjunction with relevant heads of department, ensuring the smooth running of all departments to the highest standards of customer care.
* Monitor staffing levels in line with budgets and service standards, working closely with management colleagues.
* Participate in weekly stock counts in designated departments, as assigned by the General Manager.
* Address customer complaints in a professional and courteous manner on a shift-by-shift basis.
* Attend meetings and training sessions as required.
* Comply with company regulations regarding fire safety, health and hygiene, and security, including routine checks.
* Ensure cash handling procedures are followed at all times.
* Maintain flexibility and be willing to perform tasks in other areas of the hotel as needed.
* Adhere to HACCP protocols and systems in place on your shift.
