My client, Hygeia Garden Care, is 85 years in business with an established market position in Ireland and is currently embarking on an ambitious growth strategy. Their own manufacturing of market-leading home & garden care products under the brands Mosgo, Hytrol, Greenforce & Gouldings is complemented with agencies from companies such as Sutton’s Seeds, Thompson & Morgan Seeds, Johnsons Lawn Seed, and others. Hygeia Garden Care is experiencing very strong growth and is now recruiting to fill the Area Manager position in the South East of Ireland.
The Role: To facilitate the continuing growth and development of their business, they are looking to hire an Area Manager to cover the South East of Ireland. Reporting to the Country Manager of Garden Care, this is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to play a significant role in the commercial development of an established and growing company in a key territory.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintaining established customer accounts with a focus on identifying further business opportunities with existing customers.
* Identifying new market opportunities with a program to deliver sales and margin growth as well as new customer development with specific targets for delivery outlined.
* Debtor management and credit control.
* Activating marketing campaigns in-store.
* Developing area business plans with the Commercial Director and executing these business plans to meet company objectives.
* In-store staff training programs.
* Supporting in-store customer open days, liaising with customers, and providing product advice.
The Candidate:
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years relevant experience in B2B sales with a clear record of success. They’re looking for a dynamic and energetic person, with enthusiasm and drive who is focused and keen to learn.

* Strong negotiator.
* Proven track record in business management and customer development.
* Strong communication and presentation skills.
* Strong project management skills and ability to work to deadlines.
* Highly organised and disciplined.
* Full driving license.
This is a permanent role based in the South East of Ireland.
The remuneration package on offer will reflect the importance of the role and the experience of the successful candidate. Benefits include a bonus, car, laptop, phone, pension, 20 weeks maternity leave, as well as paternity leave, and 1 day work from home if required.
