Matrix Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Process Technician for our client based in County Roscommon who specialises in the Medical Device industry.

The Maintenance Process Technician, reporting directly into the Engineering Manager, will support manufacturing operations by troubleshooting process issues, identifying equipment faults, and providing process-related assistance.
This is a permanent, Monday – Friday position.
Your new job
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Assist Engineers in troubleshooting, standardising, and optimising production processes, methods, and equipment to enhance efficiency and quality.
2. Design, test, document, and implement modifications or improvements to production equipment, ensuring reliability and compliance with operational standards.
3. Carry out equipment setup, calibration, changeovers, and scheduled preventative maintenance to minimise downtime and support continuous production.
4. Work closely with internal teams and external suppliers to source parts, resolve technical issues, and improve manufacturing processes.
5. Ensure adherence to quality, health & safety, and environmental management systems, addressing any concerns related to operational impact.
6. Support ongoing projects, process improvements, and undertake additional duties as required to contribute to overall business objectives.
What are we looking for?
1. The ideal candidate should possess a qualification in mechatronics or be a qualified fitter, toolmaker, or electrician.
2. Prior experience in a fast-paced cleanroom manufacturing environment, preferably within the medical device industry, is highly desirable.
3. Experience should include performing changeovers and troubleshooting on injection moulding, Multivac packaging, extrusion blow moulding, automated production lines, and ultrasonic welding systems.
4. Proven experience in performing maintenance tasks across a variety of equipment.
