Job Description:
At Gourmet Food Parlour, we have an exciting opportunity for a hardworking, enthusiastic, experienced bartender/barista to join our team in our Dunshaughlin Restaurant. This is an evening role, working Wednesday to Sunday.
We're looking for someone who's excited to come in to work every day and who's ready to develop the team, grow with the brand, and tackle challenges.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
1. Proven work experience as a bartender/barista (minimum 1 year experience).
2. Excellent knowledge of mixing, garnishing, and serving drinks.
3. Excellent knowledge of preparing all coffee types and hot beverages that meet quality standards.
4. Knowledge of operating, maintaining, and cleaning coffee machines and grinders.
5. Preparation of dessert plates and displays.
6. Positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
7. Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked, and clean.
8. Making drinks and remembering cocktail recipes.
9. Demonstrate a thorough understanding of all menu offerings.
10. Be able to recommend options based on customer preferences.
11. Properly handle and maintain all equipment.
12. Respond to orders, questions, concerns, and complaints in a polite and efficient manner.
13. Accurately handle cash and credit card payments, following appropriate cash-handling procedures.
14. Observe relevant health and safety standards.
15. Clean bar and all equipment and reset and restock for the next shift as necessary.
Requirements:
1. Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.
2. Available to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
3. Meet store operating policies and standards, including providing quality beverages and food products, meeting HACCP guidelines, cash handling, and store safety and security.
4. Engage with and understand our customers, discovering and responding to customer needs through clear and pleasant communication.
5. Comply with a strict dress and personal hygiene code that meets HACCP guidelines.
6. Prepare food and beverages to standard recipes and/or customized to meet our customers' requirements.
7. Available to perform many different tasks within the store during each shift.
8. Barista training.
9. Good knowledge of the hospitality industry.
