We are now seeking a passionate and experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen team and drive our culinary vision forward.
Role Overview
As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, efficiency, and hygiene. You will lead menu development, manage stock and supplier relationships, and ensure smooth day-to-day kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Menu Planning & Development: Create innovative, high-quality menus tailored to corporate clients, incorporating seasonal ingredients and dietary requirements.
2. Stock Control & Ordering: Oversee inventory management, ensuring cost-effective stock control and timely ordering of ingredients.
3. Kitchen Management: Lead and mentor the kitchen team, ensuring efficiency, consistency, and high food safety standards.
4. Quality Control: Maintain consistency in food presentation and taste, ensuring all dishes meet the company’s high standards.
5. Compliance & Hygiene: Ensure the kitchen operates in accordance with food safety and health regulations.
6. Cost Control: Manage budgets, control food waste, and maximise profitability without compromising quality.
7. Collaboration: Work closely with the events and operations teams to ensure seamless execution of catering services.
What We’re Looking For:
* Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a corporate catering, high-end catering, or restaurant setting.
* Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a team.
* Excellent knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
* A creative and innovative approach to menu planning.
* Strong financial acumen, with experience in cost control and supplier negotiations.
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple events simultaneously.
* A passion for high-quality, fresh, and seasonal food.
