Due to ongoing growth and expansion, Tricel currently have a vacancy for Senior Field Technician based in Killarney. The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic self-starter with a technical background. The successful candidate must provide technical support to Tricel customers such as engineers, site assessors, and sales agents on the Tricel product range and industry standards. The ideal candidate will have an Engineering/Construction/technical related background. The successful candidate will be required to have hands-on expertise, multitasking abilities, and strong leadership skills to contribute to the success of our projects.
Responsibilities
* Lead and supervise ad-hoc projects, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.
* Act as a technical authority, providing guidance and support to field personnel on complex issues and troubleshooting.
* Coordinate with internal departments and external stakeholders to address technical queries and ensure seamless communication.
* Mentor and coach team members to enhance their skills and capabilities, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
* Undertake manual tasks and assist with onsite activities as required, demonstrating practical expertise and a proactive approach.
* Collaborate with engineering teams on drawing projects and technical solutions, leveraging your field experience to inform design decisions.
* Drive key performance indicators (KPIs) within the division through proactive engagement and leadership initiatives.
* Any ad-hoc duties as assigned by management.
Experience and Qualifications
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in a technical field role, preferably in Construction, Engineering, or related industries.
* Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience in supervising teams and managing projects.
* Proficiency in manual tasks and willingness to engage in hands-on work in diverse environments.
* Strong multitasking skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively to meet project deadlines.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams.
* Technical qualifications or certifications relevant to Construction, Engineering, or related disciplines.
* Familiarity with CAD software and technical drawings is advantageous.
