Position: Hygiene/Cleaning Operative
Contract: Seasonal Fixed Term Contract (March to August 2025)
Location: Aurivo Dairy Ingredients, Ballaghaderreen, Co. Roscommon
Aurivo is a large multi-purpose co-operative engaged in a wide range of activities including dairy processing, liquid milk distribution, animal feed milling, retail stores, garden centres, livestock marketing as well as sports nutrition. It employs over 650 people directly and provides jobs for many others in transport, distribution and services.
Reporting To: Reporting to the Hygiene Team Leader, the successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of hygiene in the facilities throughout the dairy processing plant. A key element of the role will involve working as part of a close-knit team to complete scheduled cleaning plans for the various areas within the dairy processing plant.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Cleaning of equipment, floors, walls, windows, stairways and walkways in the milk processing plant.
2. Sanitising of equipment, floors, walls, windows, stairways, walkways and floor drains in the milk processing plant.
3. Disposal of waste materials streams and rotation of bins.
4. Maintain a high standard of hygiene in the building facilities throughout the processing plant.
5. Completing scheduled cleaning plans per process area on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
6. Maintaining records of cleaning completed.
7. Maintaining appropriate stock levels of cleaning equipment and cleaning agents per process area.
8. Informing site management of any issues which creates hygiene problems.
9. Shift work may be required on occasion.
10. Weekend work required during peak season.
