We are looking for a Network Engineer with strong experience in enterprise networking and data center environments.
The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of experience in the following areas: Technical Skills & Responsibilities:
* Strong knowledge of network devices such as switches, routers, and wireless access points (preferably CISCO certified)
* Ability to assign switch ports to specific VLANs and patch phone ports as needed
* Experience troubleshooting Avaya VOIP phones (basic configuration knowledge required)
* Ability to troubleshoot fiber link issues between switches and communicate effectively with remote technical teams
* Experience in troubleshooting and replacing network switch chassis blades
* Good understanding of Data Center Infrastructure Management applications is a plus
* Conduct periodic (minimum twice weekly) visual checks of IDF rooms for cooling, power status, UPS alarms, and PDU health
* Basic knowledge of monitoring tools such as SolarWinds
* Solid understanding of networking and operating system fundamentals
* Assist network and data center administrators (internal, customer, and vendor) in troubleshooting
* Basic knowledge of hardware including servers and storage devices
* Ability to understand and analyze monitoring tool outcomes
* Experience using ITSM tools (preferably ServiceNow)
* Basic knowledge of backup technologies (preferably EMC Avamar, Data Domain)
* Familiarity with Windows Server 2003 Enterprise/Standard Edition, UNIX & Linux
* Basic understanding of Active Directory, MS Exchange 2003, and File/Print Servers
* Experience in SLA-based environments
* Knowledge of server performance monitoring is preferred
* Perform IMACD (Installation, Move, Add, Change, Disposal) services for data center and network equipment
Hands-on experience working in large/medium enterprise data centers or hosting environments Additional Requirements:

* Flexibility to work on-call as needed, in addition to scheduled shifts
