Position Summary The MX division is responsible for launching smartphones, tablets, computing and wearable devices
This role will sit within this division of Samsung Ireland and will require being the voice and lead for all MX Marketing activities in Ireland across brand and channel marketing.
The purpose of the role is to create a level of excellence within the marketing function, by creating and implementing a range of launch & promotional activities which will ensure that the Samsung brand stands above its competition in the Irish market, with particular focus on the Smartphone, Tablet, Wearable and computing channels.
Role and Responsibilities Your key responsibilities Lead all marketing activities for the Irish business including local strategy, planning & brand development across channel, digital, PR and paid media.
Prepare and handle all monthly, quarterly and annual budgets for Ireland – driving maximum return on investment.
Represent marketing in all local management meetings.
Develop relationships with our channel partners marketing teams – ensuring support for the CMMs when needed.
Handle local agency relationships & direction across PR, social & media – from briefings to execution and ensuring efficient return on investment.
Develop & activate a full TTL plan for all flagship launch activity.
Equip the channel team with brand toolkits & oversee / sign off on all brand communications the channel partners use.
Ensure the brand is represented in line with brand guidelines across all owned platforms & channel touchpoints.
Align with the MX brand team in the UK to ensure the same messaging and brand positioning is reflected in Ireland.
Liaise with UK agencies to support with media fulfilment and asset creation.
Support the B2B team when required – branding requests, samples.
Coordinate local partnerships (e.g.
Ensure brand guidelines are followed when implementing activities, in a timely and structured manner, within budget and aligned with goals.
Oversee the relationship with local ambassadors and influencers through Teneo, ensuring they are a good fit for the brand and achieve the objectives in line with Samsung's goals.
Your key people management responsibilities – Leading Others Only Provide clarity on strategy, team purpose & value and define the key areas of focus and direction.
Support the development of your team through regular mentoring, coaching and feedback, 1:1s and on the job learning opportunities.
Role model inclusion for your team to build trust and psychological safety.
Ensure communication with your team is a core focus area including cascade of information from LT's and relevant business updates.
Manage the onboarding, offboarding process and the entirety of the colleague lifecycle process for all team members.
Manage all annual people management cycles such as goal setting, evaluation and salary reviews to a high quality and in a timely manner.
To be accountable for ensuring your team are compliant with company processes and procedures; such as compliance, meeting mandatory business cyclical deadlines, and understanding the company values.

The interview process Stage 1 – Interviewers: Íde O'Brien (current Head of Marketing MX, Ireland) & Quentin Doran O'Reilly (Head of Product Management, Ireland).
Stage 2 – Interviewer: Annika Bizon, MX Marketing and Omni Channel SEUK, Head of Ireland.
Stage 1 will require a short presentation to be completed ahead of stage 1 and presented to the interviewers.
