Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for answering reservation calls in a timely and courteous manner and responding to email enquiries.
Key Responsibilities
1. To answer reservation calls in a timely and courteous manner and to respond to email enquiries.
2. To record reservation information accurately.
3. To inform other departments of VIP arrivals and special requirements.
4. To record and process deposit information and payment for prepaid bookings.
5. To use up-selling techniques and promote hotel facilities.
6. To make bookings for F&B outlets during the reservation process.
7. To ensure that booking details are accurate prior to guests' arrival.
8. To participate in all Health & Safety training schedules for you and your team.
9. To fulfill your obligations under the Health & Safety at Work Act 1989 and ensure reasonable care is taken for health and safety of yourself and other employees.
Skills/Requirements
1. Previous experience in a similar role in a 3 or 4 star hotel preferred but not essential as full training will be provided.
2. Fluent English and excellent communication and written skills.
3. Excellent interpersonal skills with a friendly & outgoing personality.
4. Excellent attention to detail.
5. The ability to thrive under pressure.
6. To fit seamlessly into a very busy and successful sales office and be a team player.
7. Experience with Hot Soft as a PMS would be an advantage but is not essential as full training will be provided.
8. To undertake any reasonable request made by the Reservations Manager.
9. Good communication skills and a passion for customer service.
10. Organisational and interpersonal skills.
11. Must be flexible/available to work a variety of shifts including weekends.
