Job Description:
Cpl Healthcare is seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist to join their clients established team in South Dublin.
About the Role:
This position involves working with a 123 bed in-patient approved mental health service that provides a broad range of mental health supports and services with a specialist interest in neuropsychiatric services for adults with serious and enduring mental health needs such as Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, and Huntington's Diseases, as well as individuals with early onset dementias, schizophrenia, and mood disorders.
Service Focus:
The focus is on creating a therapeutic environment using recovery-oriented clinical practices and evidence-based interventions to enable patients to achieve their highest level of functioning and quality of life.
This care is delivered through a Multi-disciplinary Team including Psychiatry, Psychology, Nursing, Pharmacy, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language, Dietetics, Physiotherapy, and General Practice.
Requirements:
* Registered with or in the process of registering for specialist registration with The Irish Medical Council
* Specialist registration with The Irish Medical Council is essential; sub-specialised interest in either Psychiatry of Later Life or Neuropsychiatry is desirable
* Minimum seven years post-grad experience
* People management experience or position of additional responsibility to clinical area
* Proven track record in leading change and developing clinical services
* Energetic individual with solid experience of collaboratively working with a team of diverse clinicians, strong knowledge of Clinical Governance
* Play a key role in teaching, managing, coaching, and engaging in the practice and education of medical students, medical staff, and other allied health professionals as appropriate
* Good knowledge and experience of health, safety, and other statutory regulations affecting a healthcare organisation
* Able to deliver core contracted hours and undertake on-call services as per agreed rota
* Eligible to work in Ireland
