Consenting Specialist - Offshore Wind
One year contract, position based in Scotland or UK.
Position Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Consenting Specialist to join our Offshore Wind (OSW) Team. The successful candidate will have significant experience of the consenting process applicable to offshore wind developments in Scotland and the UK.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist the Consenting Lead in delivery of offshore wind project programme milestones via coordinating and supporting the development and assessment of project specific consenting tasks.
* Prepare and/or review technical scopes of work documents for Consenting activities and provision of support to other disciplines as deemed necessary.
* Highlight key consenting project risks and associated issues, communicating effectively to Consenting Lead and project management teams on these matters, and provide support to risk mitigation implementation and monitoring.
* Collaborate effectively with multi-disciplinary teams/packages to deliver and optimize the project Consenting Strategy in line with project milestones.
* Manage environmental and technical consultants and review technical reports.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
Essential
* Minimum seven years' professional experience in environmental consenting and Environmental Impact Assessment within the offshore wind sector.
* Formal qualification in Engineering or Science degree or equivalent qualification.
* Thorough understanding of offshore wind farm consenting activities and milestones.
* Pro-active attitude with proven experience of interfacing and collaborating effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
Qualifications
* Level 8 Engineering or Environmental Degree or equivalent.
Desirable Qualifications
* Level 9 Masters Degree in Engineering.
* Chartered status of a recognised professional institution.
* Project Management qualification.
