A Full-Time Therapeutic Support Worker Role for Young People with Complex Needs
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Therapeutic Support Worker. The successful candidate will be part of a unique team that works together to facilitate excellent practice and rebuild the lives of young people with complex emotional and behavioural needs.

You will cultivate genuine and caring connections with the young people, always interacting with dignity and respect. You will contribute to creating a welcoming, safe, and therapeutic environment, promoting physical, emotional, social, cultural, ethnic, and spiritual wellbeing.
About The Role
* Cultivate meaningful relationships with young people and their families, promoting unconditional positive regard.
* Contribute to maintaining a safe, stable, and therapeutic environment.
* Advocate for young people's rights and responsibilities, promoting their overall wellbeing.
* Ensure young people are protected from abuse and report concerns according to policy and procedures.
* Supervise outings and undertake daily household activities, such as cooking and cleaning.
* Participate in working within the Model of Therapeutic Care.
* Be physically able to support young people during challenging situations.
* Provide emotional support and encourage participation in care planning and decision-making.
* Integrate understanding of youth trauma and past experiences into practice through specialised training.
* Collaborate with support networks, including social workers, educators, guardians, and family members.
* Work effectively within a team, engaging in regular communication and feedback.
* Maintain accurate records and reports for each young person.
* Take on key worker duties, handling petty cash and securely storing valuable items.
* Contribute to community engagement and partnerships to enrich residents' experiences.

* Ability to work in regulated activity, care for, and supervise young persons
* Full clean driving license
* Flexible – willing and able to adapt to changing circumstances, shift patterns, and expectations
* Level 7 qualification (degree) or above in one of the following: Social Care, Social Work, Health and Social, Child & Adolescent Psychotherapy, Youth & Community, Teaching, Nursing, Social Science, Addiction Counselling, Counselling/Psychotherapy, Family Support, Disability Studies, Applied Behavioural Analysis, Early Years Care
