The Network Monitoring Team
The Network Monitoring team in AWS is seeking Software Development Engineers (SysDe) to build software that monitors the AWS network, one of the world's largest and most complex networks. Tens of millions of customers rely on Amazon's network for using our retail websites, accessing content on their Kindles, and building applications and businesses on top of Amazon Web Services (AWS).

A SysDE is responsible for maintaining their team's services, which requires troubleshooting and identifying the root causes of any issues within their systems and subcomponents. A SysDE will utilize testing, monitoring, and validation on their services, tools, and infrastructure to ensure continuous deployment with minimal interruption.
A day in the life of a SysDE involves working on diverse projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and continuously learning and growing as a professional.

Key Requirements
* Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals (networking, storage, operating systems)
* Experience (non-internship) in professional software development
* Experience designing or architecting new and existing systems
* Experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems, and hands-on systems engineering
* Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, or Ruby
* Experience working in an Agile environment using the Scrum methodology
