We are the main electronic supplier for all the Business Units of the Italian group FAAC Technologies, a world leader in access automation, parking, and access control. Our company employs over 3,900 employees worldwide across 5 continents and our 55 companies.
We have three Business Units:
* Access Automation (FAAC Simply Automatic): Automation solutions for gates and barriers, entrances, automatic doors, motors for rolling shutters and screens, car parks.
* Access Control (Magnetic): Innovative systems for access control, for both barriers and pedestrian passages.
* Parking Technology (Hub): Intelligent and scalable solutions to control paid car parks.
The Quality Control Technician ensures that products comply with company quality standards and applicable regulations (IPC-ESD-ISO).
Key Responsibilities:
* Inspecting incoming materials according to technical specifications, standards, and supplier agreements.
* Recording and reporting non-conforming materials and working with the supplier for resolution.
* Performing in-process inspections to identify defects early in production.
* Conducting finished product audits to ensure compliance with final quality standards before shipment.
* Detecting and analysing defects, opening non-conformity reports when applied, following supporting and collaborating on corrective action plans, verifying their effectiveness.
* SUPPORTING PRODUCTION IN ADHERING TO QUALITY STANDARDS FOR ASSEMBLY ACCEPTABILITY. PROVIDING GUIDANCE ON REWORK, SCRAP, OR USE-AS-IS DECISIONS FOR DEFECTIVE COMPONENTS AND PRODUCTS.
* Inspecting returned products from customers to determine failure causes, document findings, and provide feedback to engineering and production for corrective actions, intervening with rework when necessary.
* Collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance processes and minimize defects using PDCA methodology.
* Complying with IPC-A-610 and other relevant industry standards.
Qualifications and Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. Education: Technician or Engineer in Electronics, Mechatronics, Quality, or related field.
2. Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years in quality-related work experience within electronic manufacturing.
3. Critical Criteria:
* Must be fluent in English (both verbal and written) and available to start work within one month. Any ability to speak Italian would be beneficial but not essential.
4. Essential Knowledge and Experience Required:
* IPC-A-610 standards and general standards for electronic manufacturing.
* Knowledge of defect analysis and recovery processes.
* Inspection tools: microscopes, multimeter, calliper, etc.
* Quality documentation management (defect reports, etc.).
* Software: ERP/MES systems, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word), inspection analysis software.
5. Preferred Knowledge and Experience:
* IPC-A-610 - IPC-7711/21 Certification.
* Knowledge of various quality system methodologies such as 8D, Lean, 5 Why's, Pareto Analysis, PFMEA, etc.
* Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.
