What’s the Role: Support Worker
An important part of the staff role is to support our service users who have complex needs and help them to manage their emotions. The ability to be resilient, communicate effectively, and utilize a variety of communication tools is essential.
Our dedicated staff team supports our service users to learn and develop their independence skills, which includes tasks such as shopping, cleaning their flat, personal care, accessing the community, budgeting, and taking medication. Each staff member has something to bring to the role, and we encourage staff to use their humor, sense of fun, and creativity in supporting our service users with day-to-day life.
Where You Would Work: Windermere, Balbriggan
Balbriggan is a new Residential Service for six adults with Intellectual Disability, autism, complex needs, and challenging behavior. The service is based in the heart of Balbriggan and promotes the independence and social inclusion of all service users who reside there. The service also aims to support each individual to reach their potential and have the highest standard of Quality of Life in line with their wishes and irrespective of their needs and challenges.
Support Workers are central to ensuring Praxis Care achieves our goal of providing quality care and support to our Service Users. Each of our Support Workers will work as part of a dedicated team to provide a high-quality and reliable support service. Our Support Workers provide friendliness and encouragement towards our Service Users, supporting independence and providing the environment for Service Users to achieve their desired outcomes.

Salary Details:
Support Worker
Full-time and part-time contracts available.
*Salary based on 39 hours per week. Salary dependent on qualification/experience. Where the role requires sleep-ins, a minimum additional payment of €90.40 per night applies. A driving license and access to a car are desirable.
