Our unique 2-year programme of structured rotating placements, training & development, and senior leadership mentoring really sets up our graduates for success as they move into Operations Transport Manager or a similar management position within 2 years.

Our Management Development Scheme provides graduates with first-hand experience of managing and leading people, as well as operational responsibility and accountability from an early stage.
The Scheme includes:
* Starting salary of £30,000 (with increments during the programme subject to performance).
* 2-year programme with the first 12 months spent in Huddersfield Head Office rotating around the Control, Planning, and Resource functions in the Contact Centre (HCC) and a support function such as Fleet or Projects, and the second 12 months spent out in the field with 2 x 6-month placements at different fuel terminals working with the Operations Transport Manager.
* Hands-on experience in a variety of Operational roles and involvement in business-wide projects with autonomy and responsibility from an early stage.
* Operational leadership experience in a rapidly growing and fast-paced Unionised environment.
* Structured training and development.
* Exposure to key operational areas to develop your management capabilities.
*Please note that the HCC placement may involve a period of shift work including nights and weekends. A shift allowance is payable on top of the basic salary whilst working on rotating shifts.
Person Specification
You will be capable of engaging and influencing others with the ability to challenge the status quo and drive improvements as part of a team and on your own, with high levels of resilience. You will have a flexible approach, be highly analytical, and be comfortable with numbers, as detailed financial appraisal is an essential requirement (training is provided). You will have a strong determination to succeed in a demanding environment, and you will need to be able to demonstrate business acumen and an ability to think on your feet.
Selection Criteria
Strong English/Maths skills, on track to achieve a 2:1 degree (preferably Business or Logistics), strong IT skills (Microsoft packages), and must be geographically mobile.
Selection Process
* Closing Date for Applications: 28th February 2025
* First stage Competency Based Interviews in March 2025 by Teams.
* Second Stage Assessment Centre in Huddersfield on 24th April 2025.
