Head of Finance - County Meath. This senior position involves responsibility for the financial oversight of the company, ensuring compliance with statutory reporting obligations including the preparation of annual financial statements, monthly management accounts, compliance with tax obligations including payroll tax, corporation tax, VAT and transfer pricing. Responsible for ensuring the financial position of the operation can be expressed in a complete, accurate, consistent, and timely manner, including reporting of financial results and internal reporting. As a member of the management team the successful candidate will be involved in setting the strategy and will also be part of the board. Key responsibilities include: Lead the finance function including delivery of monthly management accounts in complete, accurate and timely manner; Responsible for reporting of results to management and to group in a clear and succinct manner in line with reporting deadlines; Responsible for preparation of annual Statutory Accounts and tax returns; Own annual budget Ownership of the finance systems including chart of accounts for General ledger including optimised cost centre reporting to drive cost control; Drive cash management and treasury function; Manage payroll process where appropriate; Responsible for the internal control function to ensure all financial internal controls are observed and that financial systems are robust and effective Member of Board, pension trustee Board; Support IT department Experience and Qualifications requirements for this role: Qualified accounting profession required (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) At least 10 years experience in similar role Advanced competency in MS Excel and excellent working knowledge of MS Word and Outlook Experience in working in a fast-paced environment Previous people management is a requirement for the role. Project accounting, Capital accounting and Fixed Assets design experience Experience of D365 and IBM Maximo an advantage Fluent verbal and written English required The ability to work effectively as a finance business partner, building strong relationships across the organisation, operating in a flexible and collaborative manner.
