Graduate Structural/Civil Engineer
We are a leading manufacturer of concrete products in Ireland, with over 65 years of experience serving residential, commercial, civil and agricultural construction projects across Ireland and the UK.
Owing to our continued growth and expansion, we seek a highly motivated Structural/Civil Engineer to join our Structural Precast Division headquartered in Swanns Cross, Rockcorry, Co. Monaghan.
About the Role
This is an exceptional opportunity for graduates to discover both design and construction aspects of engineering in a prefabrication environment.
The ideal candidate will have an Engineering qualification and some work experience, aiming to achieve chartered status in the near future.
Key Responsibilities:
* Routine and bespoke reinforced concrete design on various structural engineering projects from initial design through production and installation.
* Structural calculations using industry-specific software and first principles/industry standards as required.
* Production of drawings, reports, calculations, and structural specifications according to project requirements.
* Familiarity with AutoCAD and Eurocodes, along with IT skills, preferably including FEM software.
* Effective communication amongst clients and colleagues, including architects, engineers, and project managers.
* Providing suitable and practical solutions to meet client expectations.
Requirements:
* Civil/Structural Engineering degree (or equivalent).
* Strong knowledge of Reinforced Concrete Design and Construction Detailing would be advantageous.
* Excellent organisation, planning, and time management skills, with ability to work under guidance or independently.
* Negotiating, supervisory, and leadership skills combined with delegation abilities.
* Excellent verbal and written communication & interpersonal skills.
