Our client, a global healthcare company, is currently recruiting for a Biologics Technician to join their growing team in Westport, Co. Mayo.
Responsibilities:
As a Biologics Technician, you will be responsible for:
1. Preparing equipment & components to allow for the aseptic filling, stoppering, freeze-drying, and capping of Toxin products on the Vial Processing Line.
2. Preparing equipment components to allow for the aseptic filling of products on PFS II and to allow the Aseptic Process Simulation (Media fills) across all three aseptic Filling Lines.
3. Operating high-speed equipment, both manual and automated, ensuring full adherence to specifications.
4. Running high-speed aseptic Filling lines – Isolator technology.
5. Aseptic assembly of Single Use Aseptic sterile systems.
6. Set-up of Sterile Filtration systems – pre & post filter integrity testing.
7. Complete Visual Inspection on Finished Filled product in multiple configurations; Freeze Dried product and Sterile Syringe.
8. Remaining updated on correct procedures by reviewing current and updated SOP's relating to the job and the department.
9. Completing and remaining current with all required cGMP and safety training.
10. Assisting in achieving environmental, health, and safety goals by adhering to all general site and department safety policies.
11. Adhering to GMP cleanroom behavioural procedures at all times.
12. Completing all GMP paperwork RFT, in a timely manner and as per GDP, allowing for review/product release.
13. Demonstrating attention to detail and the ability to work independently & as part of a team to achieve goals and objectives.
14. Exhibiting flexibility on working hours and reasonable overtime as per business needs.
15. Possessing good communication skills with the ability to communicate across all levels within the organization.
Qualifications:
3rd Level qualification in Science or Engineering.
Ideally, a minimum of 2 years GMP experience (Pharma/Med Devices) or 12 months aseptic manufacturing experience.
