The purpose of this position is to ensure compliance with all relevant National and International regulations and Internal & External Audit requirements.
Key Accountabilities:
1. Manage the Flight Operations Library, Documentation Requirements, Personnel and Compliance in production/promulgation of all company manuals. Publish, in a timely manner, relevant aircraft Manuals e.g. MEL, FCOM, QRH, FCTM & AFM. Draft amendments to the Operations Manual - Parts A, B and C as required, preparing them for presentation to the relevant Aviation Authority.
2. Monitor fleets for differences as they apply to operations. Account for same in regulatory compliance through document and manual production requirements.
3. Work with aircraft manufacturers, suppliers and lessors on flight operational issues resolution in a timely manner.
4. Manage and oversee the Flight Operations Inspection Programme as it applies to the department. Manage internal and external inspection facilitation, liaison and administration.
5. Prepare inspection reports with regard to inspection findings and observations. Ensure compliance with the relevant regulations (e.g. EASA, IATA etc.).
6. Ensure follow up and closure of Aviation Safety and General Reports from Flight Crews as applicable to Flight Operations.
7. Monitor Flight Operations related SACA findings and coordinate follow up actions. Prepare and submit applications to the applicable aviation authority.
8. Liaise with a broad range of internal and external customers and agencies.
9. Manage and coordinate Hazard Identification and Risk Analysis processes relevant to Flight Operations. Assist in the development of the Flight Operations Emergency Response Plan.
10. Maintain competence on the basis of continued education and training in their area of responsibility (The company will facilitate this process).
