Job Title: Environmental Health and Safety Advisor
Job Summary:
An experienced EHS Advisor is required to implement and maintain the company's Environmental Health and Safety policies, procedures, and management systems.
Responsibilities:
* Implement and maintain the company's Environmental Health and Safety policies, procedures, and management systems.
* Provide expert advice and guidance on health and safety matters to management, safety representatives, and employees, including sub-contractors where applicable.
* Ensure adherence to all Environmental, Health & Safety statutory provisions and legislation.
* Promote and enforce best practices in safety management across the site.
* Lead Health & Safety training initiatives, including site inductions for new employees and sub-contractors.
* Oversee the creation and review of task-specific EHS documents, such as method statements, risk assessments, safe work plans, and work permits.
* Conduct regular site inspections and audits, reporting findings to both site and senior management, with a focus on immediate follow-up action.
* Ensure that all incidents are reported, thoroughly investigated, and that lessons learned are communicated effectively. Ensure notifications are made to the Directors, Health & Safety Authority, and insurers as required.
* Manage and record safety interventions, proactively addressing project EHS needs.
* Perform administrative tasks to maintain EHS Management systems, including the upkeep of registers, records, and monthly reports, and presenting updates to management as needed.
* Assist site management in drafting and communicating EHS initiatives and leading Toolbox Talks.
* Gather and prepare relevant information for inclusion in the Safety File for handover to the client upon project completion.
* Foster a workplace culture focused on health, safety, and incident prevention.
Requirements:
* A relevant third-level qualification in Environmental, Health, and Safety.
* A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role.
* Experience working on large-scale projects.
* A full, clean driving license.
* Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office, with a focus on Excel.
* Ability to work independently and demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Proven ability to build strong working relationships and manage stakeholder interactions effectively.
Package:
* Competitive salary ranging from €55K to €65K (negotiable based on experience).
