Trainee Manager- Co. Galway
A trainee manager position is available at a supermarket in East Co. Galway.
We are seeking a candidate who wishes to advance their career in retail. The successful individual will have the opportunity to learn how to manage the store from the ground up, with numerous development opportunities available in this role.
The role will be diverse, and key responsibilities include:
Main Duties:
• Provide exceptional customer service to all customers, maintaining the highest standard of service at all times.
• Foster a harmonious atmosphere for customers, suppliers, and staff, promoting teamwork and cooperation.
• Ensure the merchandising and presentation of the store are of the highest quality at all times, oversee all points of sale, and contribute effectively to price perception.
• Communicate operating standards to all staff members, ensuring they understand and implement these standards consistently.
• Monitor the performance of Fresh Food Departments in conjunction with the Fresh Food Manager.
• Adhere to stocktaking procedures and coordinate quarterly stocktaking exercises.
• Maintain effective ordering processes and prudent stock management practices.
• Monitor department overheads, ensuring that all budgets are achieved, including wages.
• Conduct regular staff meetings and provide updates on company performance.
• Offer leadership and support to Junior Management and staff, fostering a positive working environment within the store.
• Collaborate with the management team to ensure weekly gross profit, net profit, and sales targets are achieved.
• Identify opportunities for personal growth through technical training and professional development.
• Maintain housekeeping to expected standards.
• Ensure excellence is upheld throughout the store, meeting high standards of quality and service.
• Assume store manager responsibilities in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Possess in-depth knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and their application to the store.
• Perform other duties as directed by the Store Manager.
