Are you an experienced property claims professional looking for an exciting new opportunity in Ireland? We are partnering with a leading insurance provider seeking a skilled Property Claims Specialist to join their team.
The successful candidate will have extensive experience in assessing domestic and commercial property claims, including fire damage, flood, business interruption, and engineering claims. You will be responsible for managing claims from initiation to settlement, ensuring that all processes are carried out in accordance with policy wording, regulations, and service level agreements.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Managing and settling a portfolio of complex property claims within your authority level.
2. Handle a range of technical property claims in both personal and commercial sectors.
3. Providing technical support to the wider claims team and mentoring colleagues.
4. Engaging with loss adjusters and other external partners to ensure timely and accurate claims resolution.
5. Identifying and managing risks, potential fraud indicators, and recovery opportunities.
6. Collaborating with underwriting, finance, and other teams to maintain claims strategy alignment.
7. Assess and investigate property claims for both domestic and commercial properties.
8. Conduct detailed surveys and inspections, including fire damage, flood, theft, and business interruption claims.
9. Explain the claims process to insured parties and advise them on mitigation efforts.
10. Review policy wordings to confirm liability and provide recommendations for settlement.
Requirements:
1. Experience in the property loss adjusting field, ideally with exposure to high-value claims.
2. CIP or similar insurance qualifications.
3. Strong technical knowledge
4. Proven experience in managing claims
5. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
6. Strong organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure while meeting targets and deadlines.
7. Ability to assess risk and make recommendations to insurers for future risk management.
8. Experience with claims handling and the ability to manage multiple claims simultaneously.
