Mechanical Project Manager

Our client is a renowned leader in the construction/engineering sector, specialising in residential, commercial, industrial projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee and manage all mechanical aspects of assigned construction projects.
* Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with specifications.
* Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
* Supervise, mentor, and lead a team of mechanical engineers and subcontractors.
* Ensure the team is effectively coordinating tasks and meeting project deadlines.
* Provide guidance and technical support to the team as required.
* Serve as the main point of contact for clients, contractors, and internal teams regarding mechanical project progress.
* Coordinate with other departments (e.g., electrical, civil, etc.) to ensure smooth integration of systems.
* Ensure timely communication of project updates and issues to senior management and stakeholders.
* Monitor work quality to ensure it meets both company and regulatory standards.
* Review project designs, blueprints, and specifications to ensure mechanical systems are properly implemented.
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations on-site.
* Develop and manage the project budget for mechanical work.
* Ensure cost-effective procurement of materials and subcontractor services.
* Provide accurate cost forecasts and report on financial performance.
* Identify potential risks and issues, taking proactive measures to mitigate them.
* Conduct regular site inspections to ensure progress aligns with plans and safety standards.
* Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, schedules, and progress reports.
* Prepare and present regular reports on the status of mechanical work to senior management and clients.
Requirements:
* Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Mechanical Project Manager in construction/engineering.
* Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and construction processes.
* Excellent project management, budgeting, and scheduling skills.
* Strong leadership and team management abilities.
* Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications.
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (preferred).
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
* Knowledge of relevant construction safety regulations and standards.
