A leading Semi-State body is seeking a Finance Systems Manager to join their team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a finance systems specialist to support change and improvement in the FTO team's service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the operation of relevant finance systems and drive strategic direction of finance systems.
* Ensure consistent and efficient operation of key finance systems, including general ledger, staff expenses system, purchase to pay system, and fixed asset system.
* Manage helpdesk for frontline issues experienced by users of finance systems.
* Ensure integrations with other systems in use in the organization are efficient.
* Manage implementation of systems upgrades.
* Oversee a team of 2 direct reports, allocating tasks and ensuring deadlines are met while promoting team development.
* Maintain a strongly controlled systems environment.
* Troubleshoot finance system issues and escalate as required.
* Liaise with ICT team regarding scheduled system updates that impact finance systems.
* Provide user training and maintain user manuals on finance systems.
* Provide regular KPI reporting to management.
* Lead implementation of process improvements, automation, and digital transformation within the finance function.
* Support finance system users to resolve issues and develop innovative solutions leveraging existing technology.
* Manage vendor contracts.
* Contribute to and support a range of projects within the team.

* Experience of system upgrades/system implementation is an advantage.

Knowledge Requirements:
* At least 4 years' experience in finance systems.
* Systems and/or accounting qualifications (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA) are advantageous.
* Knowledge of financial systems, such as general ledger systems, Purchase2Pay, staff expenses, and fixed assets systems.
* Knowledge of Infor SunSystems and Infor Q&A is advantageous.
* Understanding of the role of financial systems in maintaining a strong control environment.
