Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Service Manager to lead our service team and ensure the maintenance and functioning of various medical equipment on the island of Ireland.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of engineers, coordinating test equipment calibration, working closely with suppliers, supporting the sales team, liaising with customers, and planning new equipment commissioning and installations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage a team of engineers, service coordinators, and equipment coordinators
* Maintain high levels of customer support, including repair turnaround time and breakdown response time
* Coordinate test equipment calibration and maintain up-to-date files in accordance with ISO/MDR/HPRA and manufacturer's policy
* Work closely with suppliers regarding new testing methods, updates, and advice
* Support the sales team with technical assistance and product promotion when required
* Liaise with customers regarding service contracts, quotations for repairs, and meet with key hospital personnel
* Work closely with the sales and administration team on specific tender documentation
* Sources and interview potential new engineers/service administration candidates
* Ensure good customer relations are maintained with both Bio-Medical/Clinical Engineering and on-the-ground front-line hospital medical staff
* Plan and carry out new equipment commissioning and installations
Requirements:
* A minimum of 5 years' experience in the medical device industry (a major advantage)
* Service management of a service team (a major advantage)
* Electromechanical field service engineering experience essential
* Candidate should be customer-focused, well-organized, and able to manage and expand the technical service department
* Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written
* A qualification in Electromechanical/Electronic engineering or equivalent
* Full EU/Irish driving license essential
