Minimum RequirementsBachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or any other relevant and equivalent qualification from a recognized institutionServed in the grade of superintendent (Electrical) or comparable and relevant position in the Public Service for at least three (3) yearsMember of the Registration Engineers Board (EBK)Current valid Annual Practicing License from the Engineers Registration Board of Kenya (EBK)Attended a supervisory management course not lasting less than four (4) weeksShown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
Responsibilities Planning, controlling and coordinating electrical and electronic designs for County Government Buildings and construction works.Supervise and inspect projects.Maintenance of electrical installations in public buildings and Government quarters.Commissioning, testing and maintenance of electrical controls related to fire detection equipment, cookers, water heaters, general domestic appliances, power generating plants, machinery catering equipment, and low/medium voltage distribution systems.Supervise staff working under him/her.Lighting protection of County Government installations.Evaluating, certifying, and recommending fees submitted by the consultants.Preparation of design drawings and specifications and making estimates for electrical installations for the supply of power to public buildings, hospitals, and other institutions under the instruction of the Electrical Engineer.
