Hotel Sales & Marketing Manager (Maternity Contract)
The Moriarty Group is an Irish owned company, involved in both the retail grocery and hotel industries. The company owns three large Super Valu, Stores in Balbriggan, Skerries and Palmerstown and two 4* hotels, the Courtyard Hotel, Leixlip, Co. Kildare and the Bracken Court Hotel in Balbriggan, Co. Dublin. The company currently employees 550 staff.
We are currently seeking to recruit an experienced, dynamic and innovative Sales & Marketing Manager to join our senior management team on a 6–9-month maternity contract basis. The Role:
Maternity Contract Basis - working an average of 45 hours per week, 5 days over 7 to include weekends and public holidays. While the Sales & Marketing Manager will predominantly work Monday to Friday, they will be required to work weekends if/when business streams require this.
Mission of Role:
To oversee the Sales & Marketing functions within the two hotel properties within the group and to maximize sales through sales & marketing strategies and processes.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
* Create, implement and monitor the annual sales & marketing plan for the hotels to meet and exceed revenue targets
* Liaise with the front office managers for the rollout of seasonal, weekly and annual strategies to maximize room revenue
* Manage all aspects of sales & marketing activities to ensure the hotel properties maximize all revenue channels
* Responsible for executing the hotels' overall marketing, PR, and social media plans
* Competitor analysis and database management
* Edit website content and create new content seasonally and in line with the current marketing plans for the hotels
* Social media management, content creation, graphic, and video
* Digital marketing campaigns, creation, and analysis
* Manage Corporate & Conference business strategy
* Promote all main events such as wedding fairs, functions, communions, confirmations, party functions, etc…
* Maximizing key revenue streams to ensure consistent usage of all hotel facilities
* Assisting in the creation and implementation of the hotel’s sales plan/budget on a quarterly and annual basis
* Building relationships with potential and past clients in line with Business Development strategy
* Customer relationship management and new business development via productive and targeted sales and marketing strategies and activities
* Attendance at evening corporate events when requested, along with the sending out and organizing the event in the lead-up
* Promote on own website, social media channels, OTA’s, other online channels, and traditional advertising avenues to maximize return on investment using tracking methods for reporting
* Responsible for group and hotel website content, OTA’s content, SEO, marketing, PPC, and Google Ad Words
* Manage all sales & marketing projects as per business requirements
* Participate in weekly revenue meetings with the General Manager & Front Office Managers
* Managing the wedding and events sales teams
* Able to provide quick and timely responses, immediate communication to the properties
* Assess additional training needs based on data gathered and interaction with sales teams from property visits
* Develop relationships within the communities to strengthen and expand the customer base for sales opportunities
* Managing marketing items such as posters, menus, brochures, deals, presentations in-house, etc.
* Plan and launch offers and promotions in a timely fashion in line with the yearly calendar and marketing annual plan
Requirements:
* The ideal candidate must have a proven track record in successful sales and marketing, be target and results-driven within the hospitality industry.
* Be able to demonstrate creative skills, be a very strong communicator with excellent presentation skills
* Previous experience working as a sales and marketing manager within a 3*/4* property is essential.
* Must have an excellent knowledge of the hospitality industry and the new initiatives/innovations taking place within the industry.
* Must have knowledge of financial reports.
* Must have strong people management skills
* Must have an outgoing personality as the Sales & Marketing Manager will become an ambassador for the hotel properties and group in general.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Must be able to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
* Must be fluent in the English Language both written and spoken.
