What is the opportunity?
This is an opportunity for the successful candidate who is interested in developing further their knowledge of Investment Management, the wider business offering and the Financial Services sector.
The role of Assistant Investment Manager supports Investment Manager(s) in production of portfolio proposals, reviews, responding to client queries and associated client administration. Supporting business development through correct application of client processes and procedures.
Once competent at this role level, there is a career pathway to develop into Associate Investment Manager and ultimately an approved Investment Manager.
What will you do?
* Support the Investment Manager(s) in production of portfolio proposals, reviews, responding to client queries and associated client administration.
* Implement rebalancing and remodeling of client investment portfolios in conjunction with Investment Manager.
* Attend client meetings with Investment Manager, prepare meeting documentation and PowerPoint presentations, review notes and action points from these meetings and implement accordingly.
* Execute trades on instruction from Investment Manager where appropriate.
* Complete all work according to procedures and standards.
* Attend fund manager and management of listed PLC research meetings with Investment Manager and prepare summary notes for the internal use of the team of Investment Managers.
* Support business development through correct application of client processes and procedures.
* Assist team members as required and work effectively with colleagues.
* Understand and comply with all CBI/regulatory regulations and principles applying to an investment management role.

* Proven industry experience.
* Working towards QFA qualification.
