Ancillary Revenue Analyst
Your role
As an Ancillary Revenue Analyst, you will be responsible for growing unit revenue, total budgeted revenue and product attachment from Aer Lingus retail and ancillary product portfolio. The role assumes day to day revenue management of an assigned portfolio of products as sold across a variety of channels (web. Mobile, digital, airport). The successful candidate will be a member of the Ancillary Revenue team, which sits within the Airline Retailing Department. Reporting to the Ancillary Revenue Manager, you will work closely with a range of business areas across the Airline and take ownership of growing APS and for ensuring revenue performance to budget and forecast targets.Ownership of revenue performance on your assigned portfolio of products and through thorough analysis, you will deliver meaningful insights and respond to those insights through appropriate actions.Participation in development & maintenance of data, reporting, analytical tools & associated projects.Manage & ensure the delivery of the revenue budget for your product portfolio by maximising APS (average passenger spend).Develop & maintain detailed awareness of competitor pricing, product offering, strategy, scheduling & promotional behaviour across your portfolio of products.Quantifying retail demand, considering influencing variables such as ticket price, distribution channel, marketing objectives, sales/groups initiatives & schedules for both Aer Lingus and its competitors.Participation in forecasting retail revenue, attachment & elasticity.Analysing retail revenue performance, KPIs, strategies, new approaches & benchmarking versus competitors.Designing optimal price points & categorisation of retail products to maximise revenue.Collaborating with colleagues in the Customer & Operational teams in the form of developing new retail product lines, participating in steering, project management, budget setting, designing, & testing of new products.As a SME for ancillary revenue for your products, contribute to any projects that develop our ancillary product offering.
Your qualifications and key criteria
A 3rd Level qualification in Business/Commerce or relevant work experience.Previous experience of revenue management from transportation, hospitality, event management, leisure, or a similar industry with revenue performance accountability.Numerical, analytical and/or statistical experience gained through a university degree or comparable level of career exposure.Experience working with Tableau, PowerBI and large data sets from disparate sources.Strong commercial awareness combined with good working knowledge of revenue management and pricing concepts.Strong presentation, communication, influencing and negotiating skills.Proactive, assertive, ability to evaluate risk, make and defend difficult decisions based on limited data.Proven numerical and analytical skills with a high degree of accuracy.A flexible and positive attitude to work.An enthusiastic team member with the ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.Focused attitude to work with the ability to use time effectively and plan tasks to be completed in a timely and responsible manner.Be a collaborative, detail orientated team player and complete assignments with minimum supervision.Self-Motivated with a high level of initiative and commitment.Ability to adapt quickly to changes in systems and technology.Eligible to live and work in the Republic of Ireland without restriction.Fluent in English, both written and spoken. Able to provide details of 2 verifiable references.Able to pass a 5 – year security background check.Prepared to complete a medical questionnaire.Closing Date: 10th December 2024. Desirable criteria
Experience in ancillary/retail revenue management in a similar industry. Involvement in defining, building and steering the development of reporting and analytical tools.Previous participation in project management.
