JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are looking for a highly competent Commercial Manager to drive profitable sales and market share growth for our Alcohol portfolio, across the island of Ireland.
The successful candidate will be the key point of contact for commercial and operational relationships across our portfolios including Asahi Beers, Cider and RTD.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Co-manage and mentor the Asahi, Cider & RTD Brand Teams
2. Lead the Development Plan and Mentoring of 1 Direct Report
3. Create & implement the Asahi Beer portfolio strategy for the island of Ireland with a focus on increasing distribution, rate-of-sale and top of mind awareness
4. Create the vision & strategy for Cider & RTD portfolio for both the On & Off Trade, identifying gaps and opportunities and making sure we have the right portfolio for future growth
5. Lead the On Trade strategy with a focus on step changing draught distribution and rate of sale
6. Identify future growth opportunities and key trends in the Beer, Cider & RTD categories. Lead strategic projects to ensure future success for the portfolios – think and act big
7. Maintain a fluent and cooperative relationship with the Brand Owners' Commercial and Marketing teams and ensure adequate reporting and collaboration where required.
8. Lead with the commercial development of the Alcohol Portfolio, analysing performance and highlighting the key commercial factors to deliver profitable growth for Richmond Marketing
9. Work with the Finance, Commercial, Category, Supply Chain and Field Sales teams to deliver exceptional results through the trade at head office and field level
10. Track and report on the delivery of Alcohol Portfolio business goals (sales, distribution, margins and promo effectiveness)
11. Coordination of monthly/quarterly business presentations and reports for key brand principals to assess the business performance against agreed objectives
12. Financial Management & Optimisation of the portfolio including JBP efficiency, Stock Obsolescence, Return on Investment analysis, Budgeting
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
1. A deep understanding of FMCG industry and the Irish on premise, retail & convenience landscape.
2. Commercially astute with relevant analytical skills and experience in budget management and promotional pricing strategies.
3. A resilient self-starter with a result driven, entrepreneurial streak.
4. A strategic thinker, good at analysis and problem-solving
5. A creative thinker with the ability to innovate and 'think outside the box'
6. Strong planning and organisation skills
7. Ability to foster close working relationships
8. Strong communicator with a proven ability at stakeholder management.
9. Passionate about consumer trends and building brands in the Irish marketplace.
