Our client is seeking a Sales & Finance Administrator who is detail-oriented, proactive, and driven to support both their sales operations and finance team. This exciting dual-role position is crucial for the smooth running of cash operations within their retail business while providing key financial administrative support to the Finance Business Partner. Your strong Excel skills and analytical mindset will be essential to thrive in this role and help the company stay ahead.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee daily cash operations: Ensure accurate reconciliation of sales and cash takings across multiple retail locations.
* Investigate and resolve discrepancies: Proactively identify and address any discrepancies in sales and cash reports.
* Collaborate with store managers: Ensure cash handling policies are strictly adhered to across all locations.
* Reporting & analysis: Prepare and analyse daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports using Excel.
* Maintain payment and refund records: Ensure all payments, refunds, and discrepancies are updated and managed accurately.
* Sales team support: Assist the sales team with administrative tasks, including order processing and maintaining up-to-date customer records.
Finance Administration:
* Assist with financial reporting & analysis: Provide support to the Finance Business Partner with financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
* Process invoices & expenses: Ensure accuracy and compliance when processing invoices, expenses, and purchase orders.
* Account reconciliations: Help reconcile accounts and support the month-end and year-end financial processes.
* Prepare financial data: Assist in the preparation of financial data for analysis and reporting.
* Audit support: Play an active role in supporting internal and external audits by maintaining accurate financial records.
Skills & Experience Required:
* Proven experience in a finance or sales administration role, preferably in a retail environment.
* Strong Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis) are essential for success in this role.
* Solid experience with financial reconciliations and reporting.
* High attention to detail and excellent problem-solving abilities.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Experience with financial or sales systems (such as SAP, Sage, or similar) is desirable but not essential.
