Job Title: Learning & Development Co-ordinator
Location: County Meath
Purpose of the Role:
The main purpose of the L&D Co-ordinator role is to coordinate training of employees on health, safety, environmental and quality systems/procedures and general operational duties.
Main Responsibilities:
* Contribute to raising skills and effectiveness levels within the organisation.
* Contribute to ongoing improvement within the Training function.
* Work closely with the Head of HR, Department Managers, Heads of Sections, Supervisors, and relevant stakeholders on a comprehensive upskilling programme.
Key Duties:
1. Conduct all duties in a way that promotes company values and best practice standards relating to health, safety, environmental and quality performance.
2. Assist Department Managers, Heads of Section, and relevant supervisors in identifying training needs.
3. Coordinate all external training such as OEM training for equipment and machines and statutory training e.g. hot works, working at heights etc.
4. Raise skills and effectiveness levels and contribute to ongoing improvement.
5. Train employees on procedures, systems, and general operational duties.
6. Work closely with the Head of Section/supervisor to ensure trainees are fully competent post-training.
7. Maintain training records and all necessary training administration.
8. Audit the training system on a monthly basis and follow up on corrective actions where necessary.
9. Assist in evaluating training effectiveness and identifying methods to improve training.
10. Undertake specific projects relating to training as determined by the Head of HR.
11. Operational duties may be required from time to time but not when facilitating/coordinating training with employees.
12. Responsible for setting up and following up to ensure the training budget is within control.
Requirements:
* Training Skills Certificate QQI Level 6 or equivalent /willingness to undertake this accreditation as part of the role.
* Experience of operating the equipment and an understanding of the demands on production.
* Effective communication skills both verbal and written.
* Influencing and computer literacy skills are important.
* People coaching skills - motivating and maintaining standards.
* Good organisational, planning and time management skills.
* A desire for creativity and innovation as it is important for the function to be continuously improving.
Working Hours:
This role will be full-time, Monday to Friday basis from 8am – 16:30pm.
Travel Requirements:
There will be some international travel involved as part of this role.
