We are recruiting a Financial Controller for a client in Dublin City Centre. The role is permanent, part time, 3 days a week and is hybrid. The client is located 5 minute walk from a DART station.
The Financial Controller will manage all financial activities, assuring accuracy and correctness of the business objectives. This position involves planning, executing, and delivering essential financial operations and strategic projects while collaborating closely with the CEO, Senior Leadership Team, and Practice Leads to support the company’s growth and fiscal health. We are looking for a confident individual who is comfortable in working with all levels of our Team within our growing and scaling business, with the ability to present and communicate key financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
Responsibilities
1. Financial Strategy Development: Implement Financial Strategy in line with the company’s objectives.
2. Accounts Administration: Provide leadership and direction, dealing with issues with a hands-on approach.
3. Financial Reporting: Preparation of monthly accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations.
4. Budget Coordination: Work with CEO, SLT, and Practice Leads to prepare budgets.
5. Financial Compliance: Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards, including statutory reporting and tax requirements, both in Ireland and internationally.
6. Payroll Operations: Oversee payroll operations, ensuring accurate and timely processing of salaries and payments to contractors.
7. Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
Requirements
1. Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
2. Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role within a multi-million euro business.
3. Strong knowledge of financial regulations and reporting requirements.
4. Experience managing forecasting, billing, and expense processes.
5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
