Talent Acquisition Specialist - North Europe COE

We are excited to present our new Freight Division, soon to open in Dublin, Ireland. This will be a new department with ambitious growth; we are looking for an experienced Air and Ocean freight Operator to be the foundation for our journey and the beginning of our growth.
Our ideal candidate will have proven freight import and/or freight export experience. You don’t have to tick every box to be our perfect candidate; our recruitment team is keen to speak to experienced freight professionals who are up to the challenge of shaping this new venture.
Location: Dublin
Hours: Monday – Friday 37.5 hours per week
Contract: Permanent
How you will contribute:
* The ideal candidate will have proven air import and/or air export experience in Air/Ocean freight.
* The ideal candidate will be proficient in export and/or import Customs clearance entry preparation and submission.
* A good understanding of customer service excellence accompanied by an alert & professional telephone manner.
* Air DG trained would be an advantage; if not, training will be provided.
* Execute job activity in accordance with the DP World global freight forwarding operating process.
* Be compliant with all internal & external governance.
* Assist with account start-up, liaising with sales to ensure required documentation/information needed for the SOP is provided.
* Monitor/audit files weekly for compliance of estimate input, profit margin setting, and timely invoicing.
* Assist clients in their day-to-day requests related to export/import documentation in order to ensure proper execution of the transportation files.
* Handle shipment irregularities, addressing and resolving as needed.
* Provide clients with complete flight details to ensure proper flow of information.
* Liaise with Airlines to procure the best possible solutions (capacity and cost) for the execution of transportation files.
* Prepare and execute customer quotations in a timely manner.
* Liaise with DPW internal Network and external Partner Agents to guarantee the best possible service assistance.
* Act quickly upon possible emergency situations that may arise within the life of an Air file.
* Network with fellow Operations colleagues to ensure proper support is given in case of workflow overload.
* Maintain customer reports as required.
What you will bring:
QUALIFICATIONS
* GCSE Level or above.
EXPERIENCE
* At least 3 years of relevant and recent experience in Freight Forwarding air/ocean Operations and Customer Service.
* Freight Forwarding experience is mandatory.
SKILLS
* Freight Forwarding – Solid and demonstrated working knowledge of the Freight Forwarding Industry.
* Execution Driving Skills – Ability to drive strong execution of initiatives, ensuring that the Countries get things right the first time through questioning, analysing, planning, and follow-up.
* Agile Skills - Ability to prioritize multiple tasks to meet various deadlines.
* Computer Skills - Intermediate computer skills with proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint).
* Analytical Skills - Strong analytical skills including the ability to analyse numbers and attention to detail.
* Communication – Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate with clients, carriers, other forwarders, and vendors.
* Languages - Fluent in English; additional languages are a bonus, but not a must.
Employment is subject to the below:
* Ability to provide and obtain five years’ full employment history and satisfactory references.
* Subject to a DBS check.
* The right to work in the UK.
* Working within a regulated environment, subject to Aviation legislation.
