Automation Engineer (Siemens)
At NeoDyne, a leading Irish and UK Industrial Automation and Electrical Engineering company, we are currently seeking experienced Automation Engineers to work on cutting-edge automation projects in the Energy, Life Science, and Food & Beverage sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with a team of digital manufacturing/automation engineers to manage and deliver projects at customer sites.
* Develop engineering design documents, technical evaluations, and test plans for cGMP process equipment, adhering to GAMP 5 guidelines.
* Design and code industrial process automation solutions on Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
* Produce I/O schedules and prepare Functional Design specifications.
* Design and configure user interface systems for industrial control (HMI/SCADA).
* Commission control systems in the field: I/O and instrumentation testing, full testing and commissioning of automation systems.
* Fault find control systems (PLC, HMI/SCADA, Communication Networks etc.).
* Provide design and approval for hardware, software, and controls for automated systems.
* Work closely with customers to identify areas for improvement through automation and data analytics technology.
* Offer technical and automation operational support to Engineering, Manufacturing, Validation, and Facilities departments.
* Mentor and train graduate/junior engineers.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Computer Science/Information Systems or related field.
* 3+ years' automation engineering experience.
* PLC Programming Experience: Siemens/Allen-Bradley/Schneider.
* HMI / SCADA Experience: Siemens/Rockwell/AVEVA/Schneider.
* Knowledge of process instrumentation and wiring.
* Experience with control networks and communications systems (Profibus, Modbus, DeviceNet).
* Validated Automation systems experience in Pharmaceutical or Food Beverage manufacturing environment.
