Health & Safety Officer - Construction Contractor
Job Summary:
A well-established contractor is seeking a Health & Safety Officer to oversee residential construction project sites in Meath, Kildare and Dublin.
The successful candidate will have the ability to work independently and within a team, with strong communication skills and leadership qualities.

Key Responsibilities:
* Provide support and advice to colleagues, subcontractor personnel and other third parties
* Ensure all H&S policies are fully implemented on site
* Check detailed methodologies are in place to cover all works, including risk assessments and method statements
* Deliver health and safety inductions for all new employees
* Prepare site paperwork, including Safe Systems of Work, Risk Assessments and Toolbox Talks
* Conduct regular inspections and ensure plant and equipment inspections are up to date
* Communicate with site management to close out issues
* Promote continuous improvement and deliver Toolbox talks
* Compile and communicate site Emergency Plans
* Report accidents, incidents and near misses and assist with investigations
* Collect and collate information for inclusion in the Safety File
Requirements:
* Rlevant recognised EHS qualification
* 2+ years' experience in construction safety
* Excellent organisational skills, including report writing and records maintenance
* Excellent reporting skills and proficiency in Word, Excel and reporting software
* Extensive knowledge of Irish health and safety legislation
* Ability to work well in a team
* Flexible to travel to sites based in Meath, Kildare and Dublin
* Clean Drivers License
