Overview:
The inputs to payroll come from locally managed T&A systems (TMS, Clockwise, ARS) as well as a global ERP HR system (Workday). Our payroll department links with HR in relation to the All-Ireland comp & Benefit programs, which are also supported by several service providers.
Requirements
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
* Collating and preparing all inputs in advance of payroll processing deadlines.
* End-to-end payroll processing in a busy environment of both weekly and monthly pay frequencies for multiple assigned entities in compliance with local laws and regulations.
* Dealing with all aspects of the payroll process, BIK, share awards, pension, and other voluntary and statutory deductions.
* Handling starter and leaver registrations.
* Processing the monthly PAYE submissions on ROS.
* Managing timely responses to employee requests and queries, and escalating when appropriate.
* Completing data validation and data analysis from multiple sources, e.g., HR ERP.
* Collaborating closely with all relevant parties, including the EMEA HR Service Delivery organization, HR Business Partners, and HR Centers of Excellence.
* Supporting payroll peers with documentation of payroll systems, process optimization, and continuous improvement.
* Participating in projects and working groups.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
* Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or accounting, or another relevant payroll qualification; in lieu of a degree.
* 2+ years of Irish Payroll experience with a strong understanding of payroll processes, tax, and legal frameworks.
* Experience in using payroll systems (CoreHR/People XD portal) is an advantage.
* A high degree of attention to detail.
* Enthusiastic and confident with a willingness to work within a team environment.
* Possess the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality.
* A flexible approach to work, ability to multi-task, prioritize, and execute within deadlines.
* Customer focus ensuring that employees' payroll experience remains positive.
* Self-starter with a proven track record of working on own initiative as well as working with external providers and across organizational boundaries.
* The role reports to the Payroll Manager, with responsibilities covering all locations; this role offers location flexibility (remote work available).
