About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team in County Monaghan. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining our operation, performing pre-planned preventative and reactive maintenance activities across the business.
The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for maintaining equipment, ensuring performance meets targets and KPIs. This will involve working on morning and evening shifts (Monday to Friday) as well as contributing to a pension, healthcare, and annual bonus scheme.
Duties:
* Performing maintenance and repairs on company equipment
* Resolving issues and reporting defects or concerns that may cause future problems
* Carrying out planned preventative maintenance
* Undertaking basic electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs of faulty production equipment
* Responding to and completing reactive maintenance tasks efficiently and effectively, minimizing disruption to the business
* Logging any defects or issues
* Maintaining a clean and safe environment, compliant with relevant legislation and internal policies and procedures
* Completing other maintenance duties as required and confirmed by the Maintenance Supervisor
Requirements:
* 4+ years of experience working within an Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance Environment
* Knowledge and understanding of working within a production industry
* Desirable experience of PLC controlled machinery
* Experience in Mechanical & Electrical fault finding
* Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings
* Excellent Communication Skills
* Excellent problem-solving skills
* Ability to work within a team environment
* Flexibility to work certain shift patterns and overtime when required
