What To Expect As Your Primary Responsibilities
Support Mechanical/Thermal Pre-sales Engagements.
Become an important part of an interdisciplinary team of technical experts (electrical, structural, architectural) to bring together schematic design for Data center (Hyperscale, Enterprise, Colocation, Edge, CLS) and Critical Infrastructure facilities.
Concept design of Data center HVAC systems and architecture, with traditional and AI design requirements, which includes:
Direct Expansion, Chilled water, Direct/indirect evaporative cooling, AHU and ventilation design
Liquid cooling (RDHx, Direct-to-chip, Immersion cooling)
Energy optimization (PUE, DCIE, CUE and WUE calculations)
CFD analysis
Coordination with other technical disciplines (architectural, structural, electrical, controls, fire protection)
Understanding of relevant codes and standards for HVAC equipment and installations
Modular Data center technical solutions and quotations
Reading and understanding RFP and tender documents
Problem solving and interpretation of customer requirements in proposed solutions
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
5-7 years experience
Proficient in Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) system design
Sizing and specification of HVAC equipment and installations
Basic knowledge of CFD tools and modeling is a bonus
Solid communication skills, both written and oral, to work across multiple Engineering and Manufacturing teams to bring architectures and concepts to deployment
PC skills: active user of Windows, MS Office incl. Excel (A), Word (A), AutoCAD
