Cpl are working with a client in the Construction Sector who are currently looking to hire a Financial Controller to join the team!
Full job description Responsibilities: *Reporting to and supporting the Finance Director on the performance and strategic development of the finance function *Assisting in preparing monthly, quarterly and annual management accounts and other financial reports for review *Maintain and control check and balances on various nominal ledger account in line with month end preparation *Full responsibility for the oversight of Group payroll, Supplier and Subcontractor functions *Lead and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of growth and efficiency.
Managing a team of 4 accounts staff.
*Review and authorise payment files on the online banking platforms.
*Ensure full statutory and regulatory compliance across areas such as VAT, Tax and other regulatory obligation in multi jurisdictions.
*Preparing annual budgets, short term and long term cashflows Engaging with the commercial department to ensure accuracy of various rates in use for estimating on projects.
*Preparation of information for external auditors for the annual audit Interfacing with 3rd party organisations such as external auditors, tax advisers, Global payroll advisers as required.
*Align financial strategies with long-term business objectives, enhance financial systems, and streamline processes to improve reporting and efficiency.
*Drive the Finance department KPIs and monthly reporting Ideal Candidate: *ACCA, CIMA or ACA Qualified min 3yrs *5+ years experience in a similar role *Demonstrated ability to manage and mentor teams, with strong communication and interpersonal capabilities *Results-driven, proactive, and commercially aware, with high levels of integrity and a focus on continuous improvement *Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
*Experience in a multi-currency and multi-jurisdictional setting an advantage.
*Effective communication, supervision, and managerial skills *Excellent IT skills - must have a high level of computer skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
