Overview of RoleThe Person In Charge / Clinical Nurse Manager is responsible for overseeing person-centred services for adults and children in a care centre, ensuring compliance with health regulations and standards.
They work closely with senior management to deliver high-quality services.
Purpose of RoleEnsure the centre operates in line with: The organisation's strategic objectives and core valuesOrganisational policies, procedures, guidelines, and safety standardsA rights-based, person-centred environment with regular communication to senior management Key Duties Lead clinical practice and support nursing and care teamsMaintain accurate records and ensure regulatory complianceEnsure the centre meets care standards and health authority inspectionsCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams and treat individuals with dignity and respectDevelop and maintain nursing standards and guidelinesManage the unit under senior management guidanceCreate a homelike atmosphere and foster respectful relationships Essential Criteria 3+ years in a management or supervisory role in health or social careRegistered in the national nursing and midwifery registerRelevant management qualificationClinical, managerial, and administrative capacityContinuous professional developmentProven experience in managing residential servicesBudget management and team leadership skillsReport writing, care planning, and staff roster management experienceFull driving licence and access to a vehicleExcellent IT skillsUnderstanding of legislative and regulatory requirements in the care sector
