We have a new role available for a Junior Buyer or Buying Administrator to work with an established company who are a leading specialist in the construction industry. This is a permanent role based in Co Mayo and may suit someone living in Mayo, Roscommon, or Sligo.
Job Description:
Our client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join their team as a Junior Buyer/Buying Administrator. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting the procurement and purchasing operations. While prior buying experience is advantageous, it is not essential. However, experience in an administration role is essential, and familiarity with the construction sector would be beneficial.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist in sourcing and selecting suppliers for construction materials, equipment, and services.
2. Maintain accurate records of purchases, including pricing, delivery schedules, and quality specifications.
3. Provide administrative support to the procurement team, including managing correspondence, filing documents, and organising meetings.
4. Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations related to purchasing activities.
Requirements:
5. Previous experience in an administration role is essential.
6. Any buying experience is beneficial but not essential.
7. Experience working in the construction sector would be advantageous.
8. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
